KonnectBot’s live translation feature automatically translates messages between agents and visitors in real time, directly inside the chat interface. Your agents read incoming messages in their own language and their replies are translated before the visitor sees them — without any manual intervention or language-switching.

How live translation works

When a visitor sends a message in a language different from your workspace’s default, KonnectBot detects the language and translates the message for the agent. When the agent replies, their message is translated back into the visitor’s language before it is delivered. Both sides of the conversation see messages in their preferred language. Neither the agent nor the visitor needs to adjust any settings — translation happens automatically within the chat interface.
Agents do not need to switch languages or copy text into a separate tool. Translation happens automatically within the chat interface, so agents can reply naturally without interrupting their workflow.

Enabling live translation

To turn on live translation for your workspace:
  1. Go to Settings > Workspace in your KonnectBot dashboard.
  2. Open the Translation section.
  3. Toggle Live chat translation to on.
  4. Save your changes.
Translation takes effect immediately for new conversations. Existing in-progress conversations will also use translation for subsequent messages once the feature is enabled.

Plan availability

Live translation availability depends on your plan. Check your workspace settings under Settings > Workspace > Translation to confirm whether translation is active on your current plan. Upgrade your plan if the feature is not available in your settings.
Live translation is included on paid KonnectBot plans. It is not available on the Free plan. If you need translation for a high-volume multilingual operation, consider the Pro or Enterprise plan, which are designed for larger teams and broader feature access.
